Description

Clean steam traps are carefully designed to satisfy the stringent requirements of the food processing, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology industries.  Manufactured of 316L stainless steel, these traps are able to withstand de-ionized steam's corrosive nature.  Watson McDaniel offers both thermostatic and thermodynamic technologies in a variety of inlet/outlet configurations.

Series FDA500 Thermostatic Clean Steam Trap

Designed for critical sanitary steam applications, the FDA500  features a welded 316L stainless steel thermal element and an electropolished 316L stainless steel body finished to a 20-25Ra condition.  This trap quickly brings the system up to temperature by rapidly venting air and non-condensables.  It keeps the system hot by discharging condensate close to saturated steam temperature.  The FDA500 is easily and quickly repairable, and it is self draining when installed vertically.

Series FDA500 Thermostatic Clean Steam Trap

Series FDA600 Thermostatic Clean Steam Trap

Featuring all 316L stainless steel construction and a welded stainless steel thermal element, the FDA600 is ideally suited to clean steam applications.  Electropolishing is preformed to the bodies of these traps to enhance surface finish and to improve corrosion resistance by surface passivation.  These traps are excellent air vents, which reduces start-up time.  They discharge condensate close to saturated steam temperature, which keeps the system hot and minimizes condensate back-up.  The FDA600 is repairable, and it is self-draining when installed vertically.

Series FDA600 Thermostatic Clean Steam Trap
