One of the easiest ways to reduce the operating cost of a steam plant is to return condensate to the boiler room.  Condensate has value both because it is hot and because it has already been treated.  Energy normally used to preheat cold boiler feedwater will be saved.  Consumption of water treatment chemicals will be reduced, and wastewater disposal costs will be reduced.  The best technology for pumping condensate is the Pressure Motive Pump with Snap-Assure™ technology.  Exclusive to Watson McDaniel, our patented* Snap-Assure™ pump mechanisms feature advanced designs and materials to ensure trouble-free operation long after other mechanisms have worn out.  Additionally, this non-electric condensate pump offer many advantages over the typical centrifugal electric pump.

bulletNo rotating seals to leak which eliminates costly maintenance.
bulletNon-cavitating operation means the PMP will pump condensate at temperatures up to saturation temperature, saving money on impeller replacements.
bulletInexpensive to operate because the pump can operate using available steam, air, or other inert gases.
bulletNon-electric operation allows the unit to be installed in hazardous locations.
bulletTotally mechanical design simplifies maintenance.

Watson McDaniel's PMP product line is available in several different configurations to best suit your application.  All of these products feature Snap-Assure™ technology.

Series PMPC

The Series PMPC Ductile Iron Pressure Motive Pump is designed for transferring hot/cold condensate or other compatible liquids from a low pressure source to a system of greater pressure or higher elevation.  These pumps are available in sizes 1" thru 3".

Series PMPC

bulletCapacities: to 15500 lbs/hr [7030 kg/hr]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletSizes: 1"x1" to 3"x3"
bulletConnections: NPT or class 150 flanges
bulletBody material: Ductile iron, optional ASME code stamp
bulletInternal mechanism material: Stainless steel with hardened wear points
bulletWeight: 285 to 310 lbs [130 to 140 kg]

Series PMP

The Series PMP Steel Pressure Motive Pump is functionally identical to the PMPC, but  the body is fabricated from carbon steel and it carries an ASME code stamp.  The internal mechanism is produced in all stainless steel and is identical mechanism used to the PMPC pump.  No field adjustments are necessary.  The series PMP is available in 1" thru 3".

Series PMP

bulletCapacities: to 15500 lbs/hr [7030 kg/hr]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletSizes: 1"x1" to 3"x3"
bulletConnections: NPT
bulletBody material: Carbon steel with ASME code stamp
bulletInternal mechanism material: Stainless steel with hardened wear points
bulletWeight: 215 to 240 lbs [98 to 109 kg]

Series PMPSS

The Series PMPSS Pump is identical to the series PMP pump except that the tank and cover are fabricated of 300 series stainless steel materials.  The PMPSS comes standard with an ASME code stamp.  Specifically designed for applications in aggressive environments, the PMPSS can withstand the harshest of conditions.  The series PMPSS are available in 1" thru 3" sizes.

Series PMPSS

bulletCapacities: to 15500 lbs/hr [7030 kg/hr]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletSizes: 1"x1" to 3"x3"
bulletConnections: NPT
bulletBody material: 300 series stainless steel with ASME code stamp
bulletInternal mechanism material: Stainless steel with hardened wear points
bulletWeight: 215 to 240 lbs [98 to 109 kg]

Series PMPLS

The Series PMPLS Pump is a small version of the Series PMP Pump.  The PMPLS body, fabricated from carbon steel, carries an ASME code stamp.  It has been designed for lower capacity applications and where height restrictions are a factor.  The PMPLS is available in 1" and 1 1/2" sizes.

Series PMPLS

bulletCapacities: to 4775 lbs/hr [2165 kg/hr]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletSizes: 1"x1" to 1-1/2"x1-1/2"
bulletConnections: NPT
bulletBody material: Carbon steel with ASME code stamp
bulletInternal mechanism material: Stainless steel with hardened wear points
bulletWeight: 260 to 270 lbs [118 to 122 kg]

Series Sump PMP

The Series Sump PMP Pump is specially designed for demanding sump draining applications.  This unit is 16" (406 mm) in diameter so that it fits easily into small pits.  The oversized integral screen prevents debris from entering the pump while the large size resists clogging.  The tank carries and ASME code stamp and stainless steel check valves are included.

Series Sump PMP

bulletCapacities: to 13.1 gpm [49.6 lpm]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletSizes: 1-1/2"x1-1/2"
bulletConnections: NPT
bulletBody material: Carbon steel with ASME code stamp
bulletInternal mechanism material: Stainless steel with hardened wear points
bulletWeight: 235 lbs [107 kg]

Series PMPBP

The Series PMPBFP Pump is an extra high capacity pressure motive pump specifically designed to move large volumes of liquid.  Constructed of all fabricated carbon steel and ASME code stamped, the series PMPBFP comes standard with 4" check valves.

Series PMPBP

bulletCapacities: to 49500 lbs/hr [22400 kg/hr]
bulletMaximum operating pressure: 150 psig [10.3 bar]
bulletConnections:
bulletCondensate inlet/outlet - 4" 150 lb Flg
bulletCondensate inlet/outlet - 4" 300 lb Flg - Optional
bulletMotive inlet, vent outlet - 2" NPT
bulletBody material: Carbon steel with ASME code stamp
