CV Series Control Valve with Pneumatic Actuator

The CV Series is a high performance, general service control valve designed for high control accuracy, optimized flow characteristics and extended service life. These control valves are equipped with a contoured plug design to withstand the rigorous nature of steam service and are compatible with many fluids and environments. The standard configuration has an equal percentage flow characteristic with metal-to-metal seating, spring-loaded Teflon V-ring stem packing and pneumatic actuator. The CV Series is available with both pneumatic or electric actuation.

How It Works

The Pneumatic Actuator can be controlled by a 3-15, 6-18, 6-30 or 6-36 PSIG standard instrument air signal that will modulate the position of the valve depending on the required close-off pressure. It has the ability to be either Air-to-Open (Normally-Closed) or Air-to-Close (Normally Open). Actuator configuration dictates the action of the valve.

Ensure the maximum Close-Offff Pressure of the valve exceeds the Inlet Pressure, allowing the valve to open and close properly and completely. See the chart below for Close-Off Pressures and Cv values for each valve body size.
