Thermostatic Air Vents

Thermostatic Air Vents

Air Vents purge unwanted air from steam systems which can inhibit the steam from entering process equipment, Vessels and piping. Air vents should be placed at all high points in the piping system and on heat transfer equipment.

The AV2000 Series (Thermostatic air vents) are used on industrial steam applications up to 650 PSIG for the removal of air and non-condensable gases from process equipment, vessels and piping. The air vent should be located at a high point in the system or vessel and can be installed in any orientation.

AVT125 series (Thermostatic Air Vents) are used on steam applications up to 125 PSIG for removal of air and non-condensable gases from process equipment, vessels and piping. The air vent contains a welded stainless steel thermal element that expands when heated and contracts when cooled. When air and non-condensable gases are present, the valve is in the open discharge position. When steam reaches the air vent, the element expands and closes the valve off tightly. The air vent should be located at the highest paint in the system or vessel.
